Cal. 38CF. S# 56949. Unusual mixed S# model 1851 frame & model 1861 7.5" barrel (S# 2839) & grip frame (S# 1874). "USN" stamped on butt & small anchor stamped on barrel rear of address. CONDITION: good overall, replaced wedge, front sight is later inset blade, address only partially discerned, good pair of patent marks, both early styles, & at time of alteration.
